How long have you been with Hulamin?
I have been at Hulamin for 26 years, having started in 1983 as Financial Manager
What have been your most significant challenges?
The most significant challenges, and successes, were initially associated with the factors leading up to the approval and implementation of the major Rolled Products expansion. More recently they have been to assist the team to achieve the real potential within the business.
What is your vision for Hulamin?
I would like to see Hulamin capitalise on the many opportunities that continually present themselves to us –we could more than double in size in 10 years. I also believe that Hulamin can continue its growth as a benchmark high technology manufacturer.
What is your leadership style?
Leadership is all about the collective us –allowing the leadership of the executive team to predominate. What do you see as the toughest challenges ahead? Making the best investment decisions in pursuit of our growth opportunities and ensuring that we continually develop our resource base to meet the growing business requirements.
Alan is a keen sportsman and is married to Paula. They have three sons –Justin, Wayne and Shaun
